Peter Churchouse

One of the region’s foremost and widely respected analysts, particularly on the property sector, Peter frequently appears as a commentator on Bloomberg, CNN and CNBC. Peter ran Morgan Stanley’s Asia research department and was regional strategist under the legendary Barton Biggs before assuming an advisory/director role in 2002. He relinquished this in 2004 when he joined Asian fund-management veteran George Long to establish the first pure Asia-Pacific real estate securities and assets fund under the LIM Advisors umbrella.

Now entering his fourth decade in Asia, Peter spends his time researching and writing The Churchouse Letter, and remains active as the chairman of Portwood Capital; a director of property investment management company Asia Property Services; a non-executive director of Mainland developer Longfor Properties Co. Ltd; a non-executive director of Hong Kong developer Hysan Development Co. Ltd; an investor and board advisor to; and, an independent director for Macquarie Retail Management (Asia) Ltd.

Tama-Richard established Churchouse Publishing Limited in 2012, with the sole aim of bringing independent, no-nonsense analysis and research to those who take an active interest in creating and managing their own wealth. He draws on extensive experience gained from his time at JPMorgan working on derivative structuring and marketing across a wide range of asset classes (including rates, credit, equity and FX) for private banks in the Asia region as part of the Structuring and Solutions Group. Tama-Richard also oversaw Alternative Investment Structuring in Algorithmic Index Strategies, as well as other bespoke longevity and equity hybrid structuring. Prior to joining JPMorgan, Tama-Richard worked in Derivative Solutions at ABN Amro.

In addition to his role as publisher and head of research for The Churchouse Letter, Tama-Richard is a keen investor, opening his first brokerage account at the age of 16. He currently manages a portfolio of internal money for the family office in listed securities and real estate assets. He has a degree in Economics from the School of Oriental and African Studies in London. Tama-Richard lives in Hong Kong with his wife and three children.

Thomas has been a leading data analyst in Asian finance for almost three decades. After joining Morgan Stanly in 1987, Thomas put his analytical skills to work in real estate research and developing regional strategies. He also specialized in bespoke research for institutional clients. After 20 years of service with Morgan Stanley, Thomas joined AETOS Capital in 2008, continuing his insightful research into real estate for the private equity firm.

In 2014, Thomas joined Churchouse Publishing where he continues to use his attention to details, data research skills, and keen insight into what the numbers are telling him to identify economic trends and potentially profitable opportunities.
